Mia Before the Candles Tipped-

Story Content
English Original
Mia balances a round birthday cake that still whispers warm vanilla. She also tries to juggle three wrapped gifts under one arm because the party clock keeps ticking. The hallway, which her family has filled with balloons, feels narrow. Bright ribbons form a playful tangle around her elbows. Streamers are draped across the ceiling, and soft music leaks from the living room. So far, the situation looks bright. Every step needs care as candles tremble above the chocolate glaze.
Mia reaches the corner where the corridor bends toward the dining table. Just then, the largest balloon rolls under her shoe, and she starts to stumble. She stretches one foot back and keeps her balance. Then she sets the three gifts on a low shelf and steadies the cake with both hands. The dog barks again and bumps her knee. The cake tilts and flips in the air. It lands on a cluster of balloons that act like a soft cushion. Chocolate curls stay in place; only one candle tips over. Mia lets out a quick breath, lifts the plate, and walks the last few steps. The birthday cake rests on the table, and the candles glow beside her steady hands.
Translation
