Story Content
English Original
Lena set a small wooden stool beside the fountain. She, an artist, opened her sketchbook with eager fingers. Bright tulip beds stretched near the water on smooth soil. Warm sunlight lit the petals and her blank page. A silent flutter from a sparrow broke the calm scene. Its wings swept her pencil off the stool onto stones. The pencil rolled, touched a watering can, and tipped it. Water splashed forward, soaking the ground around one tulip. Soft earth shifted, and a green caterpillar slid into view. It crawled across her page, leaving tiny drops and tracks.
Lena laughed, yet her hand brushed away the wet insect. She noticed the pencil still rolling toward the garden path. She stepped quickly, caught it, and dirt flew behind shoes. Now the tulip petals carried sparkling drops from the splash. Their color deepened, and the scene looked even more vivid. She adjusted her stool to a drier stone surface nearby. Sunlight still reached the page while water drained into cracks. The sparrow returned to a branch, shaking water from feathers. Lena sketched fast, including the restless bird and strolling caterpillar. Her pencil stopped beside a fresh, quiet line.
Translation
