Milo stands in the hall. The hallway air is warm. He walks toward the garden. Soft shadows move on walls. A red toy van sits. He passes a white switch. The back door is stuck. Milo pushes with both hands. The door opens wide. He turns and walks back. The switch is now up. Bright light covers the tiles. A blue plate sits near the van. His brother stands by the sink. Water drips from the plate. He points at the floor. He reaches the hall again. A tiny tooth gleams there. The tiny tooth lay by Milo's shoe.
