Layla carried a small toy basketball into the yard.

It was playtime, and she wanted one clean shot.

Grandpa's old hoop hung from a low apple branch.

Sunlight filled the space under the tree.

A calm moment arrived, and Layla aimed carefully.

The hoop slid left, and the chance disappeared.

Clouds crossed the sun, leaving the ground suddenly dim.

Light returned, and the branch drifted back to center.

Layla watched the swing, counting the seconds between moves.

Her imagination built a plan around the swinging rhythm.

Breeze came again, pushing the hoop far right.

She threw while the branch leaned away from center.

The ball sailed high, alone for a silent breath.

Wind dropped; the branch swung back across the arc.

The returning hoop met the ball and pulled it through.

A hollow thump echoed under the leaves.
