A fragrant glue smell fills the air.

Lily stands at a smooth desk.

Yellow paper circles rest before her.

She lifts one soft piece carefully.

She sets a bright paper circle.

Her left hand holds the edge.

The wet circle suddenly folds inward.

Glue streaks over her small thumb.

A tin of buttons rattles nearby.

Lily gives the tin a hug.

She shakes loose three round buttons.

She lays them along the fold.

The buttons hold the paper flat.

Remy peers over the desk, smiling.

He gives Lily a quick hug.

"Nice circle," he says.

Grey light lies on the carpet.

The circle now looks like a sun.

Two buttons look like funny eyes.

Lily skips toward the open door.
