Morning light spills across mat.

The mat is soft here.

Floyd kneels on the mat.

He spots a thin gap.

He leans and looks through.

A smooth rock sits inside.

Beside it rests a block.

Floyd blinks at the colour.

He crawls to the shelf side.

A low space waits there.

Dust drifts and hides shapes.

He lowers his head farther.

Now a wooden horse appears.

Its leg touches a wheel.

The wheel belongs to a car.

The car rolls and bumps horse.

The horse tips and blocks view.

Floyd shifts left a step.

The horse settles; space clears.

He peeks through the warm window.

A small toy zebra stands outside.

Morning light glows on stripes.
