Strategy change arrived fast: instead of reeling in, Remy opened the spool wide and let the kite surge, bleeding off strain while walking forward so slack brushed harmlessly across the grass. Each metre released reduced pressure until the damaged section lay near the reel, where his hand could protect it. He counted the final coils: three, two, one—then knotted the line around the anchor clip. The kite steadied high above, and the spool showed empty plastic as the last click sounded.
