Renn wiped the spill, then paused. The paddle on the bucket vibrated again, though no one touched it. He bent closer and caught a muffled buzz rising from the bucket’s base. Through the water he spotted a tiny crack; water escaped through it and met the stone like a hidden drum, shaking the paddle each time. "That buzz is wasting our water," he called.
