Lily felt anxious as she arrived at the park. She saw many children playing happily. She wanted to join them but felt too shy. She took out her handkerchief and wiped her brow. Lily took a deep breath and tried to overcome her fear. She smiled and walked towards the swings.
Suddenly, a boy tossed around a ball near her. He noticed Lily and asked, 'Do you want to play?' She felt relieved and nodded. Together, they played catch with the ball. Lily laughed and felt happy. She realized that making new friends was fun and easy. By the end of the day, she had overcome her shyness and made a new friend.
