Mira carried a small quilt across the quiet field. She planned a picnic on the tall hill today. Her friend Leo followed, holding an old metal telescope. They wanted to watch clouds and spot distant birds. The hill offered a scenic view over farms and trees. Close to the top, a curious goat blocked their path. The animal sniffed the quilt and pulled at one corner.

The sudden tug made Mira stumble, and the telescope slipped. It rolled down the slope, bouncing over dry grass patches. Mira and Leo chased it, but the goat trotted after them. Their blanket slipped free, startling the goat, which leaped sideways. A small stone loosened under the jump and slid downhill. The stone hit the telescope, stopping it beside a flat rock. Leo reached the tool first and checked the polished lens. Nothing cracked, so he raised it toward the bright sky. Through the glass, a rainbow shape glimmered near passing clouds. Leo wondered what created the bright moving colors above them. The surprise view gave strong appeal to their simple adventure. They spread the quilt again, sat down, and shared cold apples. Above them, the rainbow shape stayed while the goat wandered away. Evening light covered the farms, and quiet spread over the hill.
