Milo at the Post Office-

Story Content
English Original
Milo clutched a bright envelope that held his latest comic drawing.
He hoped to reach the post office before the afternoon bell rang.
A sharp wind had blown across the square and pushed against his backpack.
Loose papers rattled, and one page struck his shoulder, slowing his steps.
Outside the glass doors, a yellow line marked the benchmark for the waiting queue.
Ten people already stood there, shoulders touching, leaving almost no space.
A clock above the counter ticked louder than the chatter around them.
The line crawled forward, and Milo shifted his weight from foot to foot.
While he moved, a gust slipped through the entrance and knocked his envelope loose.
It skidded under a wooden bench, settling beside an intriguing bundle of postcards.
He kneeled, stretched his arm, and uncovered a folded note inside the loosened flap.
The handwriting, though small, had been pressed carefully between two simple sketches.
That hidden page was remarkable; he had never drawn those extra panels.
Someone, perhaps last night, had tucked the preview there as a quiet surprise.
Smiling, Milo resealed the flap and stepped to the counter, now finally clear.
The clerk lifted the metal slot, revealing a narrow chute behind the counter.
The envelope slipped through and landed with a quiet thud.
Translation
