Milo walked to the rooftop garden after dinner. The bright moon lit the path and the low benches. Shining stars covered the night sky above the apartment towers. He carried a cardboard box full of paper planes. His evening goal was simple and clear. He wanted to test each plane in the open air. A gentle breeze moved the leaves near the railing. Clouds floating slowly crossed the moon and dimmed the light. Milo set the box on a broad wooden table.

He threw the first plane toward the city lights. It glided well and landed near a row of pots. When he reached for another plane, a sudden gust arrived. The cardboard box slid, bumped the table edge, and tipped over. Paper planes scattered across the tiles and spun on edges. One plane caught on a potted tomato vine and tore slightly. Milo gathered them, but the box rolled toward the stairs. It knocked a small watering can, and water splashed across stone. The wet tiles shone under the bright moon, and Milo stopped. Finally, he locked the gate and walked downstairs.
