After the Umbrella Tipped- 適合初級的英語短篇故事

Sam placed a small bucket on the bright sand. He wanted to build the tallest sandcastle before lunchtime. Warm light fell across the quiet shore. A colorful beach umbrella stood nearby, marking his little spot. His sunglasses rested on a towel, ready for stronger sun. He scooped wet sand and packed it firm inside the bucket. He turned the bucket and lifted it with quick care.

Sudden wind pushed the umbrella, and its pole hit the bucket. The bucket tipped, sliding toward the tide and leaving a track. Sam dashed after it, but a small wave reached first. Water filled the half-made tower, melting two sandy walls instantly. The neat shape, a pocket paradise of shells and towers, collapsed. He grabbed the drifting bucket and filled it with thicker sand. He pressed the sand harder, shaping walls wider than before. The new tower stood firm even when another wave slid closer. He hoped the walls would last until afternoon. Sam placed a shell door and stepped back to watch.
