The Tipped Bucket- 適合初級的英語短篇故事

Leo scooped wet sand into a tall mound. He wanted to develop a grand sandcastle before lunch. Bright noon light warmed the pale sand. A lone swimmer glided beyond the gentle beach waves. Beside Leo, a small bucket held clear sea water.

Bread crumbs fell from his bag onto the ground. A hungry seagull dropped from the sky toward them. Its wing struck the bucket and tipped the water. Water rushed over the fresh moat around the castle. The wet stream reached a hole near a tiny crab. The crab hurried out and dug at the soft wall. Heavy sand slid down, leaning one tower to the side. Leo pushed his flat spade under the leaning wall. He lifted the edge and stopped the slow collapse. The crab scuttled along the shiny groove toward deeper water.
