He fetched a thin butter knife from the break-room sink, but the tool slipped during two clumsy attempts. Choosing to probe deeper, he steadily loosened the side panel that had been secured by four tiny bolts. If he knew the cause, a simple broom handle could easily seal the panel and keep it tight shut.
