Hugo tipped a small bucket into the classroom sink.

Morning light filled the quiet art room.

He wanted to clean his sticky paint brushes fast.

Strong water hit the bucket and started a swirling wave.

The wave jumped over the rim onto the wooden bench.

The splash rolled forward and pushed a soap bar toward the edge.

That soap slid, struck a jar, and knocked its blue ink.

Ink poured out, mixed with water, and raced across the bench.

The growing stream carried tiny paper scraps like a moving narrative.

One scrap showed a comic example of a smiling cat.

Blue ink covered the cat and blurred its bright vision.

Hugo saw the stream reach his stack of blank pages.

He pulled a towel and formed a quick dam beside them.

The towel soaked the wave and ended its fast run.

Water still dripped, yet ink stopped near the towel line.

This small pause felt like a truce between color and paper.

Hugo lifted the jar and studied the cracked lid for insight.

He twisted new tape around it and set it upright again.

A thin stream still curved down the metal drain.
