Blocks rattle in the box.
Linden walks to the window.
The curtain covers part of it.
He leans near the frame gap.
He looks in.
A faint woody smell rises.
Dust sits on the toy sailboat.
The aunt rubs the sailboat.
"So dusty today," she says.
Linden gives a small wave.
Light stays warm on the sill.
Linden walks to the shelf.
He kneels by the compartments.
Both knees press the soft mat.
Short fiber lifts along a fresh line.
A pale older track stays nearby.
He looks through the under-shelf space.
A small car rests inside.
A small plastic officer sits inside.
"My top spins fast," says an older sibling.
Top wobbles.
It moves toward the shelf.
It taps something light nearby.
A wooden ring rolls in and fits the track.
