She watches.
A warm cider smell drifts.
Fresh gold leaves top older brown.
Olwen and the caregiver share the view.
A fresh leaf slips and fills the gap.
Olwen walks to the wide tree.
She peers through two low branches.
One dry leaf shows a thin spine.
The last leaves rustle softly.
She steps near the small wooden rake.
She looks through its tines.
A single dry leaf half lifts.
Leaves at the fence drum.
A far clock chimes the hour.
A small bird on the fence jumps.
It flies beyond the low fence.
