English 原文
Cool clay pressed against Colette's palm when she lifted an old ceramic bowl from the shelf.
Thin ridges along its rim caught tiny flakes of dried lamp oil left from earlier seasons.
She placed the bowl near the window, where afternoon light showed a faint green network on the glaze.
A small tin bottle of blue ink rested beside a battered pencil case on the wide wooden table.
Out of impulse, Colette tipped a slow stream of ink into the bowl’s shallow center.
The heavy ink spread under its own weight, thick with viscosity, and carved swirling paths through clear water.
When she tilted the rim a finger’s breadth, fluid pressure sent blue currents creeping toward the opposite side.
She repeated the motion twice more, each time steeper, until bubbles gathered, rose, and popped against the glaze.
A last tilt overflowed one corner, letting a thin thread of color seep over the table’s gray stone.
Pascal glanced up from the lamp gears and chuckled, "That river nearly reached my charts."
A green grasshopper sprang from a crack in the pencil case and splashed straight into the bowl.
Ink burst outward, mixing with the earlier oil traces, and new purple clouds swirled across the surface.
The insect skittered along the rim, droplets sliding from its legs, then leaped back onto the table.
Colette laughed, set the slippery bowl on a low shelf, and wiped her stained fingers on a cloth.
She turned toward the tall lens above, catching a beam that flashed like fresh silver between its ribs.
