Morning Near the Buoy-

English 원문
Silvery light slipped across the marina while Miro lowered a slim kayak into the channel. His wristwatch showed that the spring tide and the tourist ferry would arrive concurrently, so every minute mattered. He pushed away from the pier, aiming for the orange research buoy that bobbed beyond the breakwater. Spray leapt over the bow; the effervescent water glittered like shaken soda under the rising sun. Halfway out, a pair of fins curved through the surface. A dolphin broke clear, exhaled in a short burst, and fell back with a splash that rocked the narrow craft.
The sudden tilt jarred Miro’s balance, and his paddle slid from numb fingers. It hit the water flat, spun, and drifted astern. He reached, missed, and the kayak veered toward a line of kelp. Waves nudged the hull sideways; progress stalled. On the ferry deck to port, cameras clicked. Miro steadied himself, scooped an emergency blade from under his seat, and began to forge ahead again with short deliberate strokes. Behind him the dolphin surfaced once more, nosed the lost paddle, and nudged it forward. The blade touched the kayak’s stern. Miro’s shoulder jerked in surprise, yet his hands moved on instinct, hauling the errant paddle onto the deck. The ferry horn bellowed, echoing between seawalls, and its wake rolled outward, thick as a slow drumbeat.
That wake reached the buoy first, snapping its tether and tilting the attached sensor array. Miro shifted course, muscles working in swift rhythm. He clipped a spare shackle to the metal ring, locking the array in place seconds before the ferry’s swell faded. Foam hissed; gulls circled overhead, their wings glinting white. Behind the kayak, the dolphin drifted off toward deeper water, its dorsal fin slicing the surface in an unhurried arc. The kayak rested beside the buoy, water gleaming around its hull.
