Camila Upstairs at Closing-

English 원문
Camila pushed the tall wooden door and stepped into the public library after class. She had visited this building many afternoons, yet today offered a special purpose. Her sketch assignment remained unfinished, and her journal lay partly blank inside her backpack. She wanted a silent corner, but most seats had been taken by chatty study groups. Pens tapped, screens blinked, and chairs scraped across the floor. The noise pressed closer while the minute hand moved toward closing time. A narrow staircase waited beside the history shelves, and its steps looked nearly empty. Camila adjusted the strap on her bag. She turned away from the crowded tables and climbed upward.
Cooler air lingered on the upper level. Ceiling lamps started to fade as staff prepared to lock up. Between two bookcases she noticed a cubicle containing a minimal desk and a small switch. Her thumb clicked it, and a warm bulb blossomed over polished wood. The gentle light revealed threads of dust floating with quiet subtlety. Camila opened her journal, spread the pages, and sketched the final leaf pattern. Graphite curved quickly while footsteps echoed far below. A trolley that carried returned books rattled once, then rolled away. She finished the outline just as the overhead lamps darkened completely. The small desk lamp slowly dimmed by itself. Camila closed the book and slipped it under her arm. She walked toward the doorway where a soft green light glowed.
