Lucas Beside the Spinning Fan-

English 원문
Lucas stepped into the waiting room of Dr. Park's clinic. A folded newspaper hung from his backpack, and he hoped to finish its maze puzzle before his name was spoken. He has visited the clinic twice this year, yet still enjoys the maze pages. The puzzle, printed in a bright novelty strip, had been drawn with thick black lines. He opened the pages, but a loose ceiling fan stirred a restless breeze. Each gust lifted the thin paper like a stubborn sail, hiding the path he traced with his pen. Meanwhile, a toddler who wore a paper crown at the low table pushed a wide cup toward the edge. Juice slipped closer to Lucas, adding a second worry under the moving air.
Lucas slid to the floor, placing a heavy magazine across the newspaper to keep it still. The glossy cover added weight, and the map of twists finally stayed flat. Just then, his pal Zoe arrived without warning, fresh from finishing her check-up ahead of schedule. Her sudden tap on his shoulder startled him; the magazine slid again and bumped the drifting cup. The cup rocked but settled upright, spilling nothing. Zoe laughed softly while the fan continued its gentle spin. The nurse called another patient, not Lucas, giving him extra minutes. He reshaped the pages, found the lost line, and the bright maze waited quietly on his lap.
