English 원문
Nora balanced a small camera near the otter window of the coastal center. She had promised the art club a bright poster. Yet the shy otter kept slipping behind a fake coral arch. A pale conch rested on the sandy floor, but even its swirl failed to hold the animal’s attention. The glass had been wiped by a caretaker earlier, so every reflection shone, flashing across Nora’s lens. She has already changed the camera batteries; her fingers tapped the plastic edge, counting seconds. Tourists drifted left and right, forming a moving wall that blocked each angle. Nora leaned sideways, knees bent, searching for one clear line.
A sudden squeak rolled down the walkway, and a plump quokka trotted past a rope divider. The visitor guide, who acted as liason with the wildlife team, hurried after it. But the little marsupial bounced straight toward the otter pool. A cracker slipped from the quokka’s paw and landed with a quiet tap on the glass. The otter’s whiskers twitched; it darted forward, pressing nose against the spot where crumbs slid. Heads turned, the crowd thinned, and an empty gap opened beside Nora. She dropped to one knee, steadied the lens, and pressed the button. The shutter clicked three sharp times. Water rippled, the otter drifted back behind the coral, and the quokka was gently lifted away. Nora’s shoulders loosened while the camera screen displayed a clear, bright face frozen in bubbles.
