Ben runs across the grass. Quick energy moves along his legs. He gives one strong kick. The ball flies toward a pond. A small mouse races nearby. The ball lands in water. Ripples spread around the ball. Ben stops at the edge. The pond looks deep today. Sudden bubbles rise below. A silver fish bumps the ball. The ball drifts back to shore. Ben reaches and grabs it. Water drops slide from plastic. The mouse sniffs the wet ball. Ben gently rolls it again. This time the ball stays dry. The ball stays beside Ben.
