Late afternoon light settled on the classroom desks. The students had just returned from a field trip to the city museum, and scraps of paper covered the tables like confetti from an early celebration. Marco slid a fresh worksheet, which held six blank squares, toward Carla. They hoped to cherish their favorite moment by adding one perfect photo before the bell rang again. However, an uncapped glue stick rolled away, and a pair of scissors blocked their elbows. On top of that, the glue inside the stick had dried during the bus ride, so the picture would not stay in place. Marco frowned, turning the stick without result.
Carla examined the crowded desk, then swapped the useless glue for clear tape that another group had finished. While she tore a strip, Marco lifted the photo and discovered a second shot hidden behind it: their science teacher balancing a paper crown, caught mid-laugh. The unexpected picture drew quick giggles from nearby classmates and slowed their hands for a moment. Time pressed, so Carla adjusted the plan. Instead of choosing only one memory, she folded the edge of the worksheet, creating a flap that could hold both images. The tape clicked into place, and the folded square settled neatly. When the final bell rang, the double photo swung lightly, shining under the window and resting still.
