The sun is warm. A small cat pads forward. Its tail swishes slowly. The wide window shows light. The ledge stands high. The cat peeks up. Its eyes blink slowly. It leaps but drops back. A long scarf lies nearby. The cat sniffs the scarf. It pulls the scarf quickly. The scarf slides to floor. One end touches the ledge. The fabric makes a ramp. The cat climbs the ramp. It reaches the ledge. A toy mouse rolls out. It bumps the cat's paw. A long, sleepy yawn spreads. The cat curls on the warm ledge. The cat sits still.

太陽があたたかい。小さなネコが歩いてくる。しっぽがゆっくり動く。大きな窓に光が広がる。棚は高い。ネコは上をのぞく。まぶたがゆっくり閉じ開きする。ジャンプするがまた下に落ちる。長いスカーフが近くにある。ネコはスカーフのにおいをかぐ。ネコはスカーフをすばやく引く。スカーフが床にすべる。片方が棚に触れる。布が坂になる。ネコは坂をのぼる。棚に届く。おもちゃのネズミがころがり出る。それがネコの前足に当たる。ながくねむそうなあくびが広がる。ネコはあたたかい棚で丸くなる。ネコは静かに座る。
