Soft morning light crossed the empty laboratory floor.

Cool air slowly moved across the silent floor.

A small gray mouse crept from a metal cage.

Its nose twitched toward a glass bowl on a bench.

Seeds waited there, plenty for a long meal.

Tall legs under the bench blocked the direct path.

The mouse climbed a loose cable hanging beside the leg.

The cable shook and hit a stack of plastic tubes.

Tubes rolled, struck a red button, and a toy robot whirred.

Wheels turned; the robot bumped the glass bowl above.

Seeds rained down like tiny pebbles across the floor.

The mouse dropped, paws sliding among the scattered food.

Across the room, a scientist heard the noise and gave a cheer.

He scribbled notes, seeking insight for future machines after the spill.

While pens scratched, the mouse stuffed cheeks and hurried away.

Seeds kept rolling, and wheels still turned on the floor.
