He usually looks through openings.

Today he carries his camera.

He stops at a low window.

Glare blocks the small room.

He leans but sees nothing.

Tim walks to a fence.

A thin gap waits there.

Through the gap he sees children play.

They sometimes drop bright blocks.

Blocks roll toward the fence.

He still lifts the camera again.

He reaches an open doorway.

Inside, mirrors line every wall.

One mirror faces the street.

His own face fills the glass.

Everyday clothes look strange inside reflection.

He blinks at the sudden view.

The new view ends his looking.

The empty doorway stays quiet.
