What Moved the Moss?-

English 원문
Soft morning light slowly reached the quiet garden wall.
Cole carried a small bucket toward the old greenhouse. He wanted fresh water for the young tomato plants. An iron pipe waited near the door with a red valve. Green ivy dangled over the metal handle and brushed his sleeve. He turned the valve, but it refused to move. He tried again, and the handle slipped in his damp grip. The sudden jolt shook a wooden shelf above the pipe.
Three clay pots wobbled, then one dropped onto the stone floor. A small amount of dark soil scattered across wet tiles. Moss from the broken pot slid toward a narrow crack. Cole knelt to gather the pieces before water reached them. His knee pressed the valve from a lower angle. With this change, the stiff metal turned and water flowed. The stream rinsed the soil away and filled the quiet bucket. Something small moved inside the moss. A shiny beetle tried to nestle deeper. Cole watched it crawl, then carried the bucket outside. Drips marked his path across the sunlit stones. A gentle drip tapped the floor after he left.
