English 원문
Alma brushed the shaded edge of the paper and found it hotter than the sun-lit middle, as though the sheet had traded temperatures while she blinked. A tripod of willow sticks rose beside her, its lashing knot giving a wooden creak each time the plastic bottle swung. Crimson paint pulsed from the pierced cap, laying fresh arcs over trace evidence of earlier swings that had already dulled to dusty rose. Cyrus, kneeling near the mixing cups, photographed the pattern between steady clicks; his presence felt calm but distant. Alma had planned five full colours before lunch, certain the wide sheet and the warm air would welcome them all.
A sudden squall rattled the bottle, flipping one corner of the paper and speeding the drying across half the surface. When Alma exchanged crimson for turquoise, the paint thickened during the short walk; the hole clogged mid-swing, breaking the arc into dashes. She paused, seeing how orange lines laid earlier now looked like cooled igneous rock scattered across a desert. The remaining wet band shrank under the sun, and she caught herself leaning close, hungry for knowledge of whether any gloss remained. Time thinned faster than the paint. Instead of chasing her original plan, she rinsed the bottle once more and mixed a pale honey wash. One last, gentle push sent the lighter liquid gliding outward; it merged with the dashes and brightened their gaps. The result was smaller than she had imagined, yet the quiet discovery pleased her eyes: a centre that glowed while the edges whispered away. Alma stepped back, lifted one corner of the paper, and sunlight flashed along the final wet curve like a thin ribbon of glass.
