A sunbeam crawls across the rug. Kit sits on the floor. The wooden block is gone. He lifts his pillow. Dust glows above the sheet. Nothing there. He flips a thick book. A big picture shows a nurse. The block still hides.

He slides to the rug edge. Light stays bright. He lifts the corner cloth. Soft lint touches his palm. A small toy fish rests inside. The block rolls out. Kit jumps forward. He catches the block. Footsteps move in the hall. "Morning, Kit," the voice calls. His brother waves from the doorway. Kit smooths the rug. He sets the fish by the books. He pads after his brother.

一道陽光在地毯上爬動。Kit 坐在地板上。木積木不見了。他掀起枕頭。灰塵在床單上方閃亮。什麼都沒有。他翻開厚厚的書。一幅大圖畫中有一位護士。積木依舊藏著。
