Cal slides an eraser to Gwen.
They press the page together at corners.
A sudden draft lifts a paper square.
It wobbles.
A waxy crayon tips and rolls.
The door is open to the hall.
Cal reaches and cups the tin.
The rolling crayon bumps his palm.
It stops against the rattling tin.

A grey ray rests on the carpet.
Gwen draws the tail longer now.
Cal says, "I can hold the page."
