He planned to plant it beside the small wooden bridge.

A pleasant breeze moved through the yard and lifted Luca's cap.

Luca kept a shell in his pocket, a memory from the beach.

It bounced, rolled downhill, and tapped a watering can.

The can rocked, and its metal clang startled a resting sparrow.

The bird fluttered away across the quiet vegetable rows.

Water spilled, soaked dry soil, and filled a shallow hole.

The moving seed slipped inside and disappeared under mud.

Luca stopped beside the muddy hole.

He pressed the wet soil gently, making a neat mound.

Grandmother watched, then nodded at the unexpected planting method.

Water continued to drip from the tilted can beside him.

Small streams flowed toward the bridge and darkened the wooden planks.

He wiped his hands on grass.
