Milo set down his bag and walked into the garden.

Warm morning light touched the leaves without moving them.

He wanted one ripe peach hanging above the wooden bench.

He gripped the branch and gave a short, strong shake.

The peach dropped, hit a bush, and bounced onto the grass.

A small lizard shot from the shaken bush across the yard.

A neighbor's cat saw the lizard and sprang after it.

The cat crashed into a watering can beside the table.

The metal can tipped, and water rushed over a dry patch.

Water flowed toward young carrot plants that Milo planted yesterday.

Milo dashed forward and caught the handle before more water spilled.

He lifted the can upright; the flow slowed but kept forming streams.

The cat lost interest and wandered away, tail flicking through leaves.

Milo wiped his hands, then placed the peach on the table.

He planned to start art work later, using that bright fruit.

Thin water lines ran along the garden groove toward the drain.

米洛放下書包，走進花園。
