English Original
Late morning light covered the quiet park path.
A grey cat named Miko padded toward a wooden bench.
His whiskers pointed forward, and his tail stayed high.
Warm boards could give a calm midday sleep.
Reaching the seat became his clear goal.
A small brown dog already sprawled across the boards.
A silver tag hanging from the collar clicked softly.
The click stirred the dog; paws twitched upon the wood.
Miko stepped nearer, but the dog lifted its head.
Nose flaring, the dog rolled upright and blocked the seat.
Miko arched his back, then broke into a sudden sprint.
Paws beat the grass while collar metal rang behind.
The leash snapped tight; the bench shifted on uneven stones.
One clay pot trembled, tipped, and spilled a bright flower.
Petals scattered over loose soil beside the path.
The rope blocked the dog's escape, so barking stopped quickly.
Miko slowed, sniffed the warm mound, and settled inside it.
Sunlight stayed still while his ears twitched once.
Soil cradled him, and the bench creaked no more.
His eyes closed; paws tucked under soft chest fur.
Translation
