Morning light fell between tall pines. Milo carried a sketchbook and a short pencil. He was a young artist from the nearby village. Today his goal was clear. He wanted a smooth grey stone for new drawings. The forest stream often hid such stones under bright water. Milo started his search beside the flowing line of water. He liked to explore every bend. He lifted leaves and turned small branches. Cool air moved around the trunks, touching his cheeks.

A narrow log lay across the stream and blocked his reach. Milo pushed the damp wood aside with both hands. The log rolled, and a hidden frog jumped toward the water. Its splash leapt onto Milo's open sketchbook. Dark drops spread over the white page, revealing a clear form. His eyes widened. The shape looked like a tiny waterfall on a cliff. New lines from the wet pencil moved with the water. Milo touched the page softly. The drawing grew as the stream kept dripping from the log. He forgot the stone and watched the moving picture grow. The forest stayed quiet while he kept sketching beside the stream. A bird flapped above, and Milo closed the book.
