Morning light already filled the wide farm yard.

She planned to paint the proud rooster behind it.

The rooster pecked at grain and lifted its head slowly.

A sudden gust lifted the paper from her hand.

The page flew over wet colors inside the box.

Red, blue, and yellow quickly mixed into strange streaks.

The falling sheet also tipped the box onto the grass.

Paint splashed over her shoes and the fence rail.

Colors ran toward the fence post like small rivers.

Just then, a butterfly landed on the messy paper.

Its tiny feet stamped bright spots across the streaks.

Mia watched the marks become a small colorful valley scene.

She smiled and turned the splashed sheet into her main work.

She lifted the page and set it against fresh sunlight.
