A small cat walks along.
The cat finds a low hole.
The cat bends and looks through.
Ants crawl across dry ground.
Nothing else moves inside there.
The cat blinks and turns.
A wide crack splits the fence.
The cat presses its nose closer.
A worm gives one wiggle.
A bird hops near it.
The bird pecks the net.
The net hangs over sprouts.
Leaves shake under quick taps.
The worm drops into shadow.
The cat lifts its head.
A square gap waits in wood.
The cat steps toward it.
Light glows on broken toys.
Nothing inside stirs or shines.
Light pooled over the toys.
