Sunshine fills the small yard.
The air is warm.
Pia walks near the bench.
A young cat paws below.
Light spots move in sunshine.
A green leaf rests under.
The cat mews and stretches.
It cannot reach the leaf.
Pia kneels and looks close.
Her arms stay too short.
She picks a long stick.
The stick slides under softly.
Wind blows, a twist arrives.
The leaf rolls out suddenly.
The cat hops forward, happy.
Pia lifts the precious leaf.
She places it by the cat.
The quick meeting bumps the stick.
Quiet water drips nearby.
The leaf stays beside them.
