A chicken kicks loose dust.
Dust clouds turn under its toes.
Loose grains tick against the trough.

Sara watches its quick sideways dash.
The puddle now shows cracked earth.
Thin shadows stripe the wooden roof.
A small pavilion waits beyond fence.
A duckling waddles into tall grass.
