Pierce sits on the window seat.
Grey light fills the space.
The glass surface feels cool.
A cold bead grows on glass.
It slides and hits his sleeve.
Water dots the blue fabric.
Dust drifts down on his nose.
The speck feels dry there.
A low bird call passes.
The sound brushes his ear softly.
The curtain edge sways near.
Its fabric taps his shoulder.
Oona says, 'Rain drop!'
The round fruit sticker slips.
Air carries it to Pierce's knee.
The small sticker rests there.
Outside, a green field blurs.
Raindrops streak and grow longer.
Oona stands and walks away.
Footsteps fade past the rainy window.
