Dry air thins its rough edge.

Tiny fibers rise and drift off.

Sadness moss stains the log gray.

Keira watches the boot print again.

Edges sag, water loses shine.

Only a shallow oval stays dark.

The mud soon shows plain clay.

The stream makes a bright way.

A team of ants crosses clay.

They overcome a raised pebble.

Their tiny feet tap like talk.

Now only flat mud shows.

A light drip splashes.
