Kay guides the spoon toward the bowl. Jelly slips again. Plop! It lands back in the pot. Her sister Seren watches and laughs softly. Kay steadies her wrist. She lowers the spoon slowly. The jelly sits, quivering, in the bowl now. One small bubble pops on its red top. Bubble pops. A soap bubble bumps the window and bursts. Kay adds another scoop. The red shape grows taller. The bowl stands bright on the board. Kay jiggles the shiny jelly again.
