He pulled the band back, and Zelma nodded and breathed. He let go on three, and the ball shot forward. The rubber band sprang, and the ball struck the web. The web sank, then snapped back and tossed the ball up. It landed on the tight balloon skin over the cup. Glitter jumped on the skin in rings as it flexed. The skin snapped up, tapped the cap, and sent it spinning. Zelma lowered the bowl, and the cap spun inside it. A loose rubber band twitched along the inner rim.
