Leo reached the small bay shortly before sunset, camera swinging against his hip. He has prepared his camera since early morning, hoping to capture moonlight on water. The tide still sat low, and dark rocks lined the uncovered shore like stepping stones. A gentle wind pressed waves that produced soft murmurs around his boots. The scene looked quite calm, yet the light kept changing each passing minute. He adjusted the lens carefully, since a small scratch had once spoiled photographs.

As he stepped onto a flat rock, the rising tide reached his ankles without warning. Seaweed slid under his soles, and his balance wobbled while the camera nearly touched saltwater. He backed away, but the rock that he had chosen disappeared beneath foam. One memory card was already full, and the sky grew deeper orange. Leo climbed a low dune, hoping the extra height would keep his feet dry. From there, he framed the bay exactly when a dolphin curved out of the water. Its smooth back caught the orange glow, turning an ordinary picture into an unexpected jewel. The dolphin vanished again, and his screen showed the jump frozen above rippled gold. Water slid away from the dune, and the evening settled into gentle hush.
