Milo Between Glass Doors-

English 原文
Milo stepped onto the station concourse just before dusk, one hand balancing an old film camera, the other steadying a slim tripod. Bronze light spilled through the vaulted windows, touching steel beams and ticket machines. He traced a path toward the south exit, hoping to frame the sky where migrating starlings usually wheeled. The metal ribs of the roof caught the glow, and the slow transformation of color—amber sliding toward indigo—painted shifting stripes across the tiles. A gust tried to propel a stray newspaper across his boots; he nudged it aside and kept moving, fingertips pausing to cherish the camera’s worn brass edges.
The revolving door resisted his first shove, glass panels grinding before stalling half-way. Shoulders pressing, he strained once more, and the circle finally rolled, releasing him onto the open plaza. A crowd-breath hush settled without warning: loudspeakers fell silent between announcements, conversations paused, even trolley wheels stopped rattling. In that breath of stillness, a flock burst above the façade, black commas slicing the sky. Wings flickered against streetlights; shadows sprayed over benches, faces, ticket stubs swirling around ankles.
Milo crouched, tripod legs scissoring outward, yet the first click misfired when the strap snagged on a paving stone. He jerked the leather free; the second exposure caught a sudden tumble of birds funneling through a vent left ajar. Startled commuters ducked while feathers spiraled past neon signs. The birds looped inside, then poured back out in a tighter spiral, marking dark knots against the brighter horizon. His shutter rattled in quick sequence, silver gears working harder than any heartbeat around him. When the speakers resumed, ordinary chatter filled the space once again, bags bumped knees, and trolley wheels scraped forward. Above the glass roof, the flock drifted in widening rings.
