The Flour Burst- 適合初級的英語短篇故事

Lily walked to the corner shop after school.

She wanted to visit the new baker and try bread.

Morning light filled the small shop.

The air smelled warm and sweet from fresh rolls.

Lily reached for her coins but one slipped away.

The coin hit a sack of flour near the counter.

Flour puffed up and covered everything.

A small black cat jumped back, knocking over a sugar bowl.

Sugar scattered across the floor, sparkling on the white flour.

Lily gasped and started picking grains with careful hands.

The kind baker hurried over, his shoes crunching on the mix.

He laughed softly at the white dust over the counter.

"What an idea for decoration," he joked while grabbing a brush.

Together, they swept, and the cat chased rolling sugar cubes.

When the floor cleared, Lily saw her biggest mistake.

She stepped on the fresh loaf she wanted.

The loaf looked flat but smelled fine.

The kind baker sliced it, added butter, and handed free pieces.

Lily tasted the warm bread and smiled floury lips.

Outside, she wrapped the extra slice and walked home.

莉莉放學後走向街角的小店。

他們一起打掃，貓咪追著滾動的糖塊。

地板終於乾淨，莉莉才看見最大的錯誤。

她踩扁了自己想買的麵包。

那條麵包雖然扁平，但香味依舊。

和善的師傅切開麵包，加了奶油，免費分給她。

莉莉咬了一口溫熱的麵包，嘴唇沾滿麵粉的笑。

走出店外，她包好多出的那片麵包，邁步回家。
