English 原文
Marcos spread a checkered cloth under a low maple, and Tara placed a round basket at its center. Their plan for a relaxing experience looked simple. They prepared a leisurely picnic with fruit, sandwiches, and a jug of lemonade cooled in a stream. Warm sunlight fell across the grass; traffic made a soft hum while a dragonfly traced circles. Marcos has already unpacked plates that smelled delicious after holding fresh pastries. As he set a bottle of sparkling water beside the jug, a rustle in the bushes turned them. A plump raccoon slipped out, sniffed the air, and tapped the basket with one quick paw.
The basket rocked from that tap, so a pear rolled against the bottle. The glass cylinder slid downhill across the cloth and bumped a stack of metal forks. They clattered onto the lemonade jug. The jug tipped, releasing a thin wave that pushed the forks farther. One fork jabbed the corner of the cloth. Cloth tightened, yanking a plate whose edge struck the raccoon’s tail. Startled, the animal jumped, knocking the bottle again. A crooked tree root blocked its path and kept it from reaching the stream. Marcos lunged forward and lifted the basket upright; Tara pulled the cloth free. A lone fork continued to wobble near the jug’s lip.
