The splash pushed the duckling toward a stack of metal spoons.

Spoons rattled and rolled onto a soft, cozy cloth.

Water streamed along the cloth and dripped to the floor tiles.

A rolling spoon struck the strawberry and sent it spinning.

The berry bounced, left a red mark, then slid under the chair.

A jar of flour sat near the sink rim.

Water touched the jar base, and white powder poured out.

Wet flour covered the duckling, shaping a tiny white monster.

Lina laughed and grabbed a towel to block the stream.

She pressed the towel against the counter gap.
