Tap, tap, rain drums glass. Greta sits at her desk. Soft carpet warms her feet. Grey light pools on wood. Dust turns slow in light. She opens the crayon tin. A gold star sticker glints. A blue crayon rattles inside. The teacher steadies loose papers. She reaches toward the sticker. The sticky edge clings inside. Greta taps it once. Her tap makes a soft clap. The star still stays stuck. She slides a wet brush under. Paint loosens the shiny point. The sticker flips and drops. Greta laughs then smiles holding it. She says, "Got it now." A chair leg scrapes nearby. A small paper lark glides down.
